
About Kaylee.
Kaylee I. Boehm (“Nunamaker”) joined Dove & Dove in 2013 as an associate attorney and became a partner in 2018. She concentrates in the areas of domestic and family law, which includes, but is not limited to, the areas of divorce, paternity actions, post-judgment custody disputes, adoptions, guardianships, child support and parenting time matters. She also provides clients with estate planning services, as well as serving as Guardian Ad Litem to minors and the disabled and providing pro bono work through the local Land of Lincoln office.
Just since her admittance to the Illinois Supreme Court Bar in May 2013, Leading Lawyers has awarded Kaylee with the “Emerging Lawyer” award for being in the top 2% of all lawyers in Illinois under 40 years old in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. Kaylee was also recognized and distinguished as a Top Attorney in North America in 2022. Finally, in 2021, Kaylee was nationally ranked by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys in their Top 10 under 40 distinguishment.
In addition to her practice of law, Kaylee is an active member of the Illinois Bar Association, Shelby County Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. Kaylee has presented in numerous speaking engagements through the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education and has attended the bi-annual Family Law Update conferences through the Illinois State Bar Association in 2015, 2017, and 2019.
Kaylee obtained her law degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law in December 2012. During her law school experience, Kaylee worked for the Domestic Violence Clinic, the Elder Civil Clinic, and Land of Lincoln. Kaylee also completed a judicial externship with Judge Joshua Meyer, Associate Judge of Macoupin County, and an externship at Dove & Dove, while completing her law school curriculum.
Prior to law school, she attended Eastern Illinois University for two years, before transferring to Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where she received her undergraduate degree in Sociology, graduating Cum Laude in 2009. During her undergraduate involvement, Kaylee was recipient of the Dr. Willie Pearson, Jr. Academic Excellence in Sociology Award.
